With the 2016 MLU Season entering it’s final week of regular season action, the league has announced the times and locations for their Conference Championships.

For the Western Conference, we will see a repeat of the 2015 matchup, as the Portland Stags (8-1) will once again play host to the Seattle Rainmakers (7-2).  This year’s Western Conference Championship will be held at 6 PM PT on June 25 at Milwaukie High School Turf Field in Milwaukie, Ore..  While Portland has had home field advantage in each of the past two Western Conference Championships, they have yet to be able to punch their ticket to the MLU Championship, losing to Vancouver in 2014, 14-13, and Seattle in 2015, 17-16.  This year, the Rainmakers will look to once again play the upset underdog, breaking the hearts of Stags fans for the third straight season.

Fighting for the Eastern Conference crown will be the Boston Whitecaps (7-2) and the Philadelphia Spinners (8-1).  The Eastern Conference Championship will be held at Carey Stadium at Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, Pa.. Carey Stadium has been the 2016 regular season home of the Spinners, seeing the home team go undefeated in five games. First pull will be at 3 PM ET on Sunday, June 26.  This matchup will be a repeat of the 2015 Eastern Conference Championship, which saw the Whitecaps defeat the Spinners in Boston, 21-16, en route to their second MLU Championship title.

While both Boston and Seattle have the potential to earn a piece of first place in the standings with victories this weekend (Boston would also need the Spinners to lose in D.C.), Philadelphia and Portland have already secured the tie-breaker, having won the season series against their respective conference championship rivals.

The winners of each Conference Championship will face off at the 2016 MLU Championship on July 16 at Franklin Field at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa.  For Championship details, visit
