Major League Ultimate announced today that Point6 Socks has been named the official sock of the MLU for the second year in a row.
Headquartered in Steamboat Springs, Colo., Point6 creates exceptionally soft merino wool products built for optimal comfort and performance.
“It’s exciting to have Point6 renewed as a partner for the 2016 season.” said Robert Catzen, MLU Partnership Development Associate. “Consistency is vital to both the players and the league as a whole, and Point6 is a great example of the MLU’s efforts to be consistent in both arenas. “
MLU-branded socks will be available directly through the MLU Shop. Further, as part of the sponsorship deal, the new Point6 logo will once again be featured on the front of the Seattle Rainmakers jerseys.
“Point6 is excited to continue it’s relationship with Major League Ultimate and looks forward to being the Official Sock of the MLU for yet another season.” said Stacia Betley, Marketing Manager for Point6. “We are thrilled to have talented players put our performance socks to the test and we all know that better socks means better blocks!”
This partnership also features major cross-promotional social media marketing from Point6, the Rainmakers and the MLU. Most notably, the partnership will see the continuation of last year’s #BetterSocksBetterBlocks campaign, highlighting impressive defensive plays from the MLU season.
“Point 6 produces some of the highest quality merino socks in the world, while also doing incredible work to maintain and preserve parks and trails throughout The United States” continued Catzen. “It is their commitment to excellence in their craft, as well as their community that makes us so proud to have them as our partners.”
As the official sock of the MLU, Point6 will outfit every MLU player with performance-engineered socks made from the finest merino wool from sustainably farmed sheep in New Zealand.
