MLU announced today that it will be simulcasting the Ditch Media coverage of the Manila Spirits All-Star Exhibition Series.Team E.R.I.C., comprised of 14 of the best Ultimate players from the United States, will be facing off against the national teams of the Philippines and Japan at the Manila Spirits ultimate tournament in Manila, Philippines from November 13-15.This coverage marks the first major project from Ditch Media, a company started by NexGen founder and Portland Stag Kevin Minderhout, and the founder of E.R.I.C., Jim Gerencser. “Manila Spirits is in a sense a leap into the unknown.” said Minderhout, “A double down on the market for ultimate while holding a 19. A good hand but success in no way guaranteed. The best players, a world stage, a developing nation as host, two world leading countries in our sport and the bet that if we build it the people will watch.”Team E.R.I.C. consists of male and female players from all over the country, representing some of the top club teams nationwide and including Minderhout’s teammate from the Stags, and the 2015 MLU goals leader, Timmy Perston.Ditch will be broadcasting both of Team E.R.I.C.’s games live, with the coverage simulcast on the MLU site. The first matchup will be against the hosts, Team Philippines, on Wednesday, Nov. 11th, followed by the match vs Japan on Friday, Nov. 13th.  Both broadcasts will start at 8PM (EST).This marks an exciting step in the growth of international ultimate, and nobody is more excited than Minderhout:”Fingers crossed.
