Chester, PA – Here’s a quick recap of Boston Whitecaps 31-17 victory over the Seattle Rainmakers at PPL Park  on Saturday, August 8.

How it Happened: Boston came out firing and jumped out to a 3-1 lead early.  Seattle was able to gain some momentum, but never forced the tie, let alone lead. Boston’s offense looked smooth and comfortable for the entire game, and their defense capitalized on every Rainmakers mistake.

Turning Point: Seattle’s best chance at building momentum came in the middle of the first quarter, when Jeff Graham went completely horizontal and knocked down a Rainmakers dump pass.  The Whitecaps went on to score, and they never looked back.

Player of the Game: Jeff Graham. Graham locked up his 2nd MLU Championship MVP Award with a fantastic game.  4 goals, 2 assists, and 1 MONSTER block

Stat of the Game: 0. The Rainmakers scored zero break goals in the game.  Evan Klein lead the league in break scoring, but the entire Seattle roster was unable to score after a turn.  Granted, Boston didn’t give them much of a chance.

Quotable: “It’s simple really.  The offense played their best game of the season.  The defense played their best game of the season.” – Sam Rosenthal

What’s Next: The 2015 MLU season is in the books.  We’d like to thank our fans, players, staff and sponsors for another amazing year and look forward to seeing you all in 2016!
