They scored again as the horn blew to mark the end of the first quarter and had a single-point lead heading into the second. The Whitecaps scored five points in a row at the beginning of the second – thanks largely in part to an incredible defensive and offensive effort by Jack Hatchett – and they never looked back. While the Spinners were able to turn the quarter around and reopen their scoring, they ended the first half down by four points (12-8). The third and fourth quarters saw a Whitecaps defense that was both ferocious and efficient, and the Whitecaps were eventually able to widen their lead to 13 points by the end of the game.Stat of the game: 9.
