With the 2016 MLU season rapidly approaching, teams have begun to fill their rosters, meaning it’s time once again for The Dotted Line, a periodic look at signings around the league.

As players continue to sign, we thought we’d take a minute to acknowledge the other major signings for the 2016 season – the coaches.

Boston Whitecaps

Following their victory in the 2015 MLU Championship, the Whitecaps are thrilled to welcome back Sam Rosenthal as Head Coach again in 2016.  Rosenthal will be joined by player turned coach turned player and now turned coach again Mike Miller as an assistant coach in 2016.

New York Rumble

The Rumble announced in January that former assistant coach Eileen Murray will join Anthony Nuñez as Co-Head Coaches for the 2016 MLU season.

Philadelphia Spinners

After reaching the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 2015, the Spinners have turned the reign’s over to Darryl Stanley for 2016.

Washington D.C. Current

Following Keven Moldenaur’s decision to play again in 2016, the D.C. Current were pleased to announced that  Will Smolinski will take over the head coaching responsibilities for the team, joined by Jacob Nuxull and Sam McClellan as assistants.

San Francisco Dogfish

The Dogfish recently announced the signing of Jason Seidler, a long-time fixture of Bay Area Ultimate as Head Coach for the 2016 season.

Portland Stags

The Stags will once again be lead by Head Coach Danny Quarrell, who has lead them to a 17-3 regular season record since joining the Stags in 2014.

Seattle Rainmakers

The Rainmakers announced this weekend that Fiona McKibben and Kate Kingery will be taking on the Co-Head Coaching duties for the team in 2016, following a successful season as assistant coaches in 2015.

Vancouver Nighthawks

While the Nighthawks have not named their coaching staff for 2016, they are currently reviewing candidates for the position. Those interested in coaching are encouraged to submit applications to work@mlultimate.com until an official announcement is made.
