UltiPhotos, Official Photographers for Major League Ultimate, is proud to announce their new MLU photography portal: MLU Images.

Full photographic coverage of all 40 games, the postseason and featured team events throughout the inaugural season will be available through UltiPhotos. Additionally, all licensing of MLU imagery is now managed by UltiPhotos.

“We are happy to be working with an organization that is taking the future of Ultimate as seriously as we are,” says Nic Darling, Vice President of MLU. “Their visual representation of this incredibly athletic sport is better than anything out there.”

The site currently offers a new slide show featuring the highlights from the MLU combines. Fans can also check out photos from their favorite teams. As the season progresses, fans can expect daily updates of MLU games.

UltiPhotos Founder and Director of Photography Kevin Leclaire explains, “The MLU Images page on UltiPhotos will showcase the very best photos from each week of action this season. It will also provide a central location for fans and media to easily find images of their favorite MLU teams. As the season progresses, we will add functionality, such as the ability to search for photos of a favorite player.”

UltiPhotos, the world’s largest provider of Ultimate tournament photography, provides official event photography services for youth, college, club and professional competition at all levels. In addition to being featured in numerous newspapers, magazines, books and commercial products, their compelling Ultimate photos also provide the foundation for one of the most popular Ultimate-related destinations on the Internet, generating one million pageviews a month.

With just over a month to go before first pull, be sure to stay tuned to MLU Images.

I really hope the MLU is paying for the opportunity to promote with professional images that are not smudged with a watermark. I don't know how many times I go to NFL.com and see pictures with the photography company's watermark in the corner. Oh wait, yes I do: that never happens. If our sport is really aiming to be treated like we have professionals that deserve the non-ultimate public's attention, we need to represent that on all levels. Reply

Quick note from a veteran Ulti player. Love that we're finally making the big move to push Ulti into the professional sphere. Photos (even early in the growth of MLU) are essential. Get photos up with the teams in uniform. These shots are great, but still the same shots I remember of any tourny or league shots with everyone and anyone wearing what they want; toques, tights, tees, whatever. Want to create the impression that this is a serious, professional league? Every pic is an athlete in professional gear. My two cents. Reply
